Ukraine
turns 35.
Ukraine declared independence on August 24, 1991. We're marking the 35th anniversary with a festival at the Georgetown Community Center: live performances, Ukrainian food, an artisan market, and guests visiting from Ukraine.
Doors open at noon and the day runs until seven. Show up whenever you can, leave whenever you need to. Everything the day raises goes to generators for the people defending Ukraine right now.
